From bustling cities to peaceful shores...

Offering up a mix of well-known cities and sleepy island towns, this cruise is the perfect way to get to know the many faces of the Med. After a day at sea, you'll dock at Trapani. Starting at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the old town's main street, wander through this Sicilian city. And if you're after historical sights, head for the ancient ruins of Segesta. The highlight here is the unfinished Doric temple, and there's an impressive Greek amphitheatre, too. Next on the agenda is Naples. Take in the chaotic city centre itself, or head along the Amalfi Coast to honeymoon favourite Positano. If you're feeling adventurous, meanwhile, follow the flags that lead to the crater of Mount Vesuvius - it's the only active volcano in Europe that you can climb. For day five of the cruise it's on to Civitavecchia, your gateway to Rome.

Cue big names like the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the Acropolis and the Pantheon, St Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Nowhere on earth does history quite like Italy's capital. Just save some time for a stroll down Via Condotti - Rome's designer shopping strip - and fit in a quick gelato stop on the way. Leaving the hustle and bustle of Italy behind, you'll set sail for Corsica's sleepy shores. Wander through the streets of Ajaccio's old town and you'll be following in the footsteps of Napoleon Bonaparte, the capital's famous son. Elsewhere, make for the wine-producing Cincara Valley to savour the smooth, velvety reds of the region. The final day of this tour takes you to Menorca. Take a photo from the top of the island's highest peak, Monte Toro, for a memory you can savour.
