Day 1: Sydney - Jervis Bay

Heading south from Sydney, it's not long before you hit the relatively undeveloped southern coast of New South Wales. You'll pass the resort of Wollongong and drive along the stunning Sea Cliff Bridge, partly built on stilts above the ocean. Your overnight accommodation (at most times of the year) is the eco-minded Paperbark Camp where you can stay in a safari-style tented cabin amidst a beautiful rainforest setting, and which makes the perfect base for exploring Jervis Bay.

Enjoy a moment of quiet contemplation at the impressive Australian War Memorial, which commemorates the role played by the ANZAC soldiers during two World Wars.
