Description

Your Itinerary…

Monday, Marmaris - TURKEY
Tuesday, Ship at Sea
Wednesday, Alexandria - EGYPT
Thursday, Port Said (for Cairo) - EGYPT
Friday, Ashdod - ISRAEL
Saturday, Larnaca - CYPRUS
Sunday, Alanya - TURKEY
Monday, Marmaris - TURKEY

This cruise is a mix of ancient civilisations and sacred spots. First on the list is Marmaris. It's Turkey's top sandy stretch.

After a day at sea, we'll arrive in Egypt. Alexandria is first, so head for the Qait Bey Fort. It's actually built on the site of the Lighthouse of Pharos, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You can cross another one off the list in Cairo.

The Pyramids rise out of the sand, reaching for the sky. They're guarded by the half-lion, half-human Sphinx, which has watched over the towering triangles for over 4,000 years.

Leaving Egypt, it's on to Israel. Ashdod is your gateway to sites of Biblical proportions, namely Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Top of the list is the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, built on the spot where Jesus is said to have been born. And in Jerusalem, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is thought to be where the crucifixion took place.

Cyprus is the next place we'll drop anchor. Larnaca has roots that run deep - it's thought the original city was founded by Noah's grandson. Hit the Phinikoudes promenade - it's prime people-watching turf.

It's only a short hop to Turkey, for the city of Alanya. Keeping a watchful eye over the city is a 13th-century citadel. It's been really well preserved, right down to the 83 towers dotted along the ramparts.

A fabulous spa and delectable dining means The Celebration brings a touch of luxury to the cruise experience. It's the perfect ship for cruises to the Red Sea and beyond.
